My role model is my mother. My definition of a role model is someone who contributes positive things to the community and to themselves. I also believe that a role model is someone who accomplishes a lot of things throughout their life. So my mother is my role model. My mother is my role model because she has gone through a lot of struggles throughout her life time. However she manages to never give up and still make the best out of it. She was independent at the age of 13. She learned how to cook and clean at the age of 8. Her father was never present, living her mother to care for her and 3 other boys on her own. My mom was very understanding towards why her mother couldn’t afford the things she wanted, so she decided to go out and find a job to buy the things she wanted. After a few years, her mother got sick. She was diabetic as well as being blind from one eye. So my mother took it into her responsibility to take her of her youngest brother and take care of her mother. With the little bit of money she had, she still found a way to put on the table for the family. She than had me, and she raised me on her own. Like I said before, with the little bit of money that she had she still made sure that I had everything that I needed. I never missed a thing. She gave me the life that she wanted to live. However, I am getting a little sentimental here so I would like to say that I am accomplishing a lot of things that she wants me to. I am doing it all for her. I also want to be the best mother that she was to me. I will make sure I never give up when times get rough. I want to be just like her! I am also going to make sure I give her everything she dreamed about having once I get into my career and make a lot of money.
